1. Delhi votes tomorrow, triangular contest with AAP's debut
i. All eyes will be on the fledgling Aam Admi Party as Delhiites vote tomorrow in the Assembly elections in which BJP is seeking to stop Congress from clinching a record fourth win.
ii. The entry of Arvind Kejriwal's AAP has changed the dimension of the fight in the polls and it will be interesting to see whether the newbie will just be a "spoiler" or win some seats as predicted by opinion polls, riding on its anti-corruption plank. 
iii. The BJP had deployed a battery of top leaders including L K Advani, Narendra Modi, Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Nitin Gadkari who criss-crossed the entire city addressing scores of rallies asking people to "oust" the "corrupt" Congress dispensation. 
iv. The Aam Admi Party mainly resorted to door-to-door campaigning while its leader Arvind Kejriwal addressed scores of road shows. 
v. Both Congress and BJP have dismissed AAP as a serious contender but various pre-poll surveys predicted significant support for the newly formed party. 
vi. A total of 1.19 crore voters are eligible to exercise their franchise tomorrow. There are over 4.05 lakh first-time voters. 
vii. A total of 810 candidates are in the fray for the 70- member assembly. BJP has fielded candidates in 66 seats and Congress and AAP in all 70 constituencies.  viii. The BSP has fielded candidates in 69 seats, NCP in nine and Samajwadi Party has fielded candidates in 27 seats. A total of 224 independents are also in the fray. 

2.    Nation celebrates Birth anniversary of Dr. Rajendra Pd
i. India's first President Dr.Rajendra Prasad was born on 3rd December, 1884 in Saran district of Bihar.

After completing his primary education from Chhapra, he gave the entrance examination of Calcutta university at the age of 18. iv. His popularity in the country earned him the name Deshratna. After the Constitution was framed, he took over as the first President of the country. 

3.    WTO Ministerial Conference begins today 
i. The crucial 3-day WTO Ministerial Conference will begin today in Indonesia city of Bali, India firm on commitment to asert its stand on Food Security.
ii. Meanwhile, Anand Sharma discussed WTO related position with Minister of Industry& Commerce, Zimbabwe Mr Mike Bimha on sidelines of WTO Ministerial. He also met South African Trade Minister Mr Rob Davies on sidelines of WTO Ministerial at Bali 
iii. Sharma discussed WTO related issues with Brazil's Foreign Minister Mr Luiz Alberto Figueiredo Machado on sidelines of WTO Ministerial 
iv. Developed countries have proposed an interim solution of four-year 'peace clause' during which period India would not attract penalty even if the 10 per cent cap is broken. v. As per the existing Agreement on Agriculture (AoA) of the Geneva-headquartered WTO, farm subsidy has to be capped at 10 per cent of the total value of the farm production. India has raised issues regarding the way the cap value is benchmarked to the base price. 
vi. India is pinning hopes on wide support from the grouping of G-33 which includes China and Indonesia. However, given the political compulsions back home in an election year, sources said, India would prefer a "no deal to bad deal", especially with regard to farmers.

4.    e-BRC Project won 2013 eASIA Award
i. Directorate General of Foreign Trade’s e-BRC project has won the 2013 eASIA Award under Trade Facilitation category.
ii. The award was announced by Asia Pacific Council for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Business (AFACT) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam on 29 November 2013.

About e-BRC Project: i. electronic Bank Realization Certificate (e-BRC) project was launched on 5 June 2012, to electronically transmit foreign exchange realization details on exports from the respective banks to Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT).
ii. The project has created an integrated platform for receipt, processing and subsequent use of all Bank Realization related information by exporters, banks, central and state government departments. It was made mandatory with effect from 17 August 2012.

5.    Dhoni wins 2013 LG People's Choice Award

i. India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has won this year's LG People's Choice Award, thus becoming only the second Indian cricketer to win the coveted prize after just-retired Sachin Tendulkar.
ii. Dhoni has now become only the third cricketer to win this award after Tendulkar, who was the first-ever recipient in 2010, and Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara, who won it in 2011 and 2012.
iii. Other nominees for this year's LG People's Choice Award were Australia's Michael Clarke, England's Alastair Cook, India's Virat Kohli, and South Africa's AB de Villiers.
iv. The award, which was introduced at the 2010 LG ICC Awards in Bengaluru, was voted upon by close to 188,000 cricket fans around the world. The voting opened on November 2 and closed at midnight on November 23, an ICC statement said.
v. The short list was nominated by an elite panel of cricket experts, which is headed by ICC Cricket Committee Chairman and former India captain Anil Kumble. Other members of the panel are England's Alec Stewart, New Zealand's Catherine Campbell, Pakistan's Waqar Younis and South Africa's Graeme Pollock.

6.    ‘Brahmaputra Cruises’ among World Top 10 Adventurous Cruises

i. Brahmaputra Cruises’ by Assam Bengal Navigation Company has been recognised by CNN International as one of the top 10 Most Adventurous Cruises in the World for 2013.
ii. The ‘Brahmaputra Cruises (Jungle Book Tour/India)’ has been ranked sixth among the cruises including the Amazon, the Antartica, the North Pole, Australia and Pacific and Atlantic Oceans, Managing Director of Assam Bengal Navigation Company, Ashish Phookan, told PTI.
iii. The Company also has ‘Bengal Cruises’ with their second boat ‘ABN Sukapha’ operating on the Hoogli river since 2007 and on the Ganges since 2010, Phookan said, adding, their third boat ‘ABN Rajmahal’ will commence commercial operation on the Ganges from February next year.
iv. Brahmaputra Cruises’ feature visits and attractions such as wildlife viewing, both by jeep and on elephant back, village walks, visits to tea gardens, exploring towns in cycle rickshaws, barbecues on deserted river islands, dance performances and visits to archaeological sites, pilgrimage centres and craft workshops, Phookan said.

7.    India to offer $1 mn to anti-chemical weapons body
i. India has decided to give $1 million to the trust of Organisation for Prohibition of Chemical Weapons at The Hague for the destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons and related facilities, a move that will strengthen its case for inclusion in Geneva-II talks next month.
ii. Apart from the financial assistance, India has offered the services of its experts to help in the destruction of Damascus’ chemical weapons arsenal and related facilities, a Ministry of External Affairs statement said here today.
iii. Welcoming the progress on the time-bound safeguarding and destruction of Syria’s chemical weapons and its accession to the Chemical Weapons Convention, the Ministry said: “India’s assistance to the OPCW is a concrete demonstration of India’s consistent position of support for the complete destruction and elimination of chemical weapons worldwide.’’
iv. India has already expressed interest to be included in next month’s Geneva-II, an international conference which seeks to bring together all warring parties, domestic and international, to stabilise Syria.

8.    Nuclear-capable Prithvi-II missile successfully test-fired

i. India today successfully test-fired indigenously developed nuclear-capable Prithvi-II missile with a strike range of 350 km from a test range at Chandipur in Odisha as part of a user trial by defence forces.
ii. The surface-to-surface missile was test-fired at around 10:05 AM from a mobile launcher in salvo mode from launch complex-3 of the Integrated Test Range, about 15 km from here, defence sources said.
iii. “The missile was randomly chosen from the production stock and the launch activities were carried out by the specially formed Strategic Force Command (SFC) and monitored by scientists of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) as part of training exercise,” the sources said.
iv. The launch was part of a regular training exercise of SFC and was monitored by DRDO scientists,” he said.

9.    29th Junior National Athletics Ch'ships begins in B'lore today
i. 29th Junior National Athletics Championships will kick off in Bangalore today.
ii. Around 2,000 athletes from across the country are expected to take part in the championships.The five-day meet, will have 125 events in eight age-group competitions, four for boys and an equal number for the girls.
iii. Athletes who excel in the meet will be selected for the national junior camps and thereafter for next year's Asian Junior Championships in Chinese Taipei and World Junior Championships at Eugene, United States.

10.  42 yr-old Tambe surprise inclusion in Mumbai Ranji team
i. 42 year old leg spinner Pravin Tambe was on Monday surprisingly included in the Mumbai Ranji Trophy team to take on Jharkhand in the four-day Group A match starting at the Wankhede Stadium on December 6. 
ii. Lack of top quality spinners has apparently forced the Mumbai selectors to include Tambe, who made his mark in T20 cricket while playing for Rajasthan Royals in last season's IPL and Champions League but is yet to figure in first class cricket. 
iii. Tambe, who plays for the D Y Patil Sports Academy in local cricket, has picked up 13 wickets in eight T20 games in his career. He will complement left arm spinner Vishal Dabholkar.
